this was the "bitter" part:
so i found myself crying as i had to move out of the yearbook room. i kept telling my friend and future editor in chief bryson that i felt like a lame duck--i really did.
amy and sarah jane thank you for keeping me sane as i picked up a stack of 2009 silver yearbooks and stuffed them into the closet with tears running down my cheeks. i kept on saying "this is ridiculous! why am i crying?!" "i'm ready to be done!" or, "i really am such a joke right now, who would be crying over a room?!"
but i was.
and i can't deny it.
thats because it wasn't JUST a ROOM. its where thousands of memories were made this year, and i was packing up and moving out.
i'm going to miss this place.
and not just this place...the whole school for that matter. yesterday i packed up all of my memories and moved out of the place i called home for three years of my existence.
bittersweet.
on the "sweet" side, graduating was amazing. i loved being with the class of 2010 one last time while sitting on the front row of chairs in the huntsman center.
singing a solo was quite exhilarating--i was so nervous that i might be a little too emotional, but instead i took it as one last opportunity to show my grade i could belt it out. (haha i don't know about that...but at least i tried) some of my best friends spoke and gave great advice. i got to sit next to one of my all time favorite people aubrie colton. i was so grateful that i could have my family there, i have been overwhelmed by their support and love.
pictures, pictures and more pictures.
surprises: (aka a laptop and tickets to lion king! couldn't be more excited) a popcorn maker from bryttin. oh yes it may seem impractical to some, but popcorn is a staple of the bailey bowthorpe diet! and an african bag from brynn--I LOVE IT!
i came to the realization that the best friends i have made in high school can remain friends if i choose to be a networker and keep in touch with them. i hope to do just that. so its been a week full of highs and lows, happy's and sad's, excited and nervous, change and challenge, or as brynn would say, "roses and thorns".
i guess thats why they call it bittersweet.
