hebgen in the snow.

i've been at hebgen when it has snowed before, but never this much. especially over memorial day weekend!

right now i am sitting on the couch at the cabin looking out the window at huge falling snowflakes. we have had the fire going 24/7 to stay nice and warm. i have been looking forward to being up here since i left it last august so i'm not complaining! i've loved hanging out with the fam, playing games, eating delicious grammy meals, watching movies, and napping.

as much as i love the snow at hebgen, i am looking forward to THIS:

i guess i'll have to wait for a few more months!

it's been a great few days and let me tell you why:

i bought some sweet teva's and i feel like a hippie/outdoors woman

and

i learned how to play this song on the mandolin!

on math.

i have decided that it doesn't matter how long you study for, how many flashcards you make, or how hard you have worked in a math class

the tests are still hard.

my brain doesn't understand math as well as it understands writing. that really is too bad. but here's a little known secret: (i kind of like writing a lot more).

maybe if i would have got ahead in third grade and learned my times tables a little better i would have finished all of my math requirements already. but alas, i have at least another two semesters.

but for now:

dear math,

don't ever come back until next fall...please.

thank you ever so much,

bailey louise

random thoughts:

i have never been asked what kind of picnic food i like (until today), but i think it is a very legitimate question.
first off, is it a classic picnic or a new age picnic? again, both very legitimate questions.

what i would consider the classic picnic food:
  • creamy peanut butter sandwiches with raspberry jam on enriched white bread
  • thin apple slices
  • chunks of cheddar cheese
  • carrot sticks
  • lays potato chips
  • apple juice
  • lemon bar and/or brownie
the truth is, i don't know what is considered modern picnic food. so i did a little research.

my findings:

i think i'll stick with the PB&J. although the cupcakes do look quite tempting...

and that is my random thought for the day.

back to studying!
