see the changes

allow me to get sentimental here for a brief moment:

i've realized lately that change is constant and inevitable. people come and go so quickly, especially during this stage of life. people i have in my mind as being here forever are suddenly going to be gone. friends i've relied on are now going to be a phone call, letter, or skype chat away instead of a block, a car ride or a bed away.

this makes me sad, but it also makes me extremely excited. we are all on a different path and all are perusing exciting, new adventures and experiencing life. a new start, missions, graduation, grad school, study abroad, marriage...the list goes on.

the problem arises when i feel stuck. stuck in cedar city going to school, going to work, sleep, repeat. but then i know that i have a path, too. there is a God who has a plan for me. and right now, this is it. and it's a good place to be, and there are people to serve here who rely on me. comfort zones need to be stretched and new friends need to be made. not to replace, but to add. i have a lot to learn here.

and to all of the new, exciting adventures awaiting you, thank you friends for continuing to be on my path, whether you are in riverton or russia or anywhere in between.

"Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better..."

and life DOES gets better everyday.

I'm lovin this post. Well said, Bay! I love how positive you are. I'm in this "I'm not loving the whole change situation" boat with you. It's going to be a great ride!
